Job description
The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for installing and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems on a variety of snow-removal equipment and dump bodies mounted on heavy-duty trucks. You will work closely with our technical team to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Responsabilities

Install, maintain, and repair hydraulic and electrical systems for snow-removal equipment and dump bodies

Diagnose hydraulic and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs

Install and set up valves, pumps, power take-offs (PTOs) and other hydraulic components

Make hydraulic connections and prepare hydraulic hoses according to specifications

Perform electrical hookups according to provided schematics

Assemble machinery and equipment using hand tools, pneumatic and electric tools, and welding equipment prior to installation

Install, disassemble, and relocate mechanical equipment such as pumps, tanks, and electrical systems

Weld metal parts using various manual or semi-automatic welding machines

Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions and failures
Qualifications required

Diploma in Industrial Mechanics or equivalent relevant experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience installing and repairing hydraulic and/or electrical systems

Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics

Proficiency in welding, hydraulics, and electrical work

Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
